Dr Clara Ong is a dedicated Ministry of Health accredited consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist She is also the founder of Haven Gynaecology at Gleneagles Medical Centre and has more than 15 years’ of experience in medicine and women’s health.
She graduated in medicine from the National University of Singapore and completed her specialist training in obstetrics and gynaecology (O&G). She also obtained postgraduate membership of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (MRCOG) in London and the Master of Medicine in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from the National University of Singapore. She is a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore, and an accredited colposcopist with the Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology of Singapore.
Before entering private practice, Dr Ong was a Clinical Lecturer at the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and an examiner for the MBBS degree. She was also a visiting consultant at Ng Teng Fong General Hospital. She has published in local and international peer-reviewed journals and presented her research at conferences in Singapore and overseas.
As a mother of three, Dr Ong understands the journey from conception to postpartum care first-hand, and she is a strong advocate for breastfeeding. She has a special interest in perimenopause and menopausal conditions.
Dr Ong previously practised at Gleneagles Hospital and Parkway MediCentre (Woodleigh) before opening Haven Gynaecology.
